Prospects for the Year 2007

The Hindu New Year will begin on 18th March 2007 . The general reading for people in Canada and USA is not too encouraging. The year will witness violence and intrigue at the international level, and the body blow will be felt extensively in the north western countries. There will be strife in the work area and massive joblessness is likely. Most people should be ready for a thinner pay packet.

Women will especially be affected. Though many will make the headlines, the overall situation will deteriorate. Domestic violence will be on the rise. The fashion and glamour industry will take a beating.

Real estate will initially seem to be looking up but actually it will lose ground and prove to be a waterloo for big investors.

University education will face unprecedented hurdles and there may be student unrest on many campuses. A very large number of students will have to discontinue their studies.

On the whole a picture of uncertainty and confusion will prevail. On the global level a state of mental paralysis will be experienced. The world will become more competitive and less liveable.

Individual Prospects

Let us shift our attention from the macro to the micro level and briefly describe how this year will affect different individuals per their date of birth. Although most people under each description will feel the effects to various extents, those born around the 15th of the month will experience them most acutely.
