Always Part of Hierarchy: Getting Along with your Boss
Hierarchy, of course, is one of the cosmic laws. And it simply describes a condition in nature where there is always a leader, a ruler or one of superior position. This is meant to be like that for security purposes, for the ongoing passing of wisdom from hand to hand, mouth to mouth, not for the purposes of domination. It is people who have seen domination, who have been subjected to it perhaps, and fear it, who often rebel against hierarchical structures. "Now you're not going to tell me what to do!" they say. And yet unfortunatlely they end up oft being told what to do by everyone. They lose their minds in some case.
We find that hierarchy is the acceptance of the humility of your station in life. There will always be someone grander than you in life but always someone lesser as well. So what's the problem? I don't see any myself. The thought that there be those infinitely greater than I, oh my, how I am comforted by that! It isn't a matter of contention for me. But some who fancy themselves the king of the universe or queen, as the case may be, these no, no, no, they'll have nothing of it. I'll be my own boss, they might say. And that they are not! Sadly.
So look to any situation you happen to be in, beloved ones. There's always someone higher up, someone who is rather running the show, . . . and place yourself accordingly. At times it shall be you. Act gracefully, with conviction and strength. Not mealy mouthed.
And know when your hierarch is before you. And pray, try not to be sarcastic to that one. You've no right. If you don't like the situation you're in, exit it. That's the proper thing to do. Not just sit there and grumble against your hierarch, creating negative karma for both of you. Be strong enough to (stand up for) your convictions in truth, if you don't agree with the policies of the place you happen to be in, whether working, living, whatever, to leave it. Stand up for your convictions. If you don't like it, leave it. Prove it. Be true to yourselves. But don't stay there like some kind of a coward talking badly about those you should be serving.
That's hierarchy for you.
